I'm Hana Lily
It's the little things, isn't it. The ones that slowly accumulate to create once in a lifetime moments. A trickle effect of 'firsts', 'lasts' and every day in between - slowly curating a beautiful map of life. While some events leave a larger mark on that journey, the beauty in what sometimes goes unnoticed are just as pivotal.
Moments of elation, tears of joy (or sadness), every wrinkle, scar and sunkissed freckle. I memorialize those; a snapshot of the beauty one holds in a slight smile, the quiet look two lovers pass or a laugh you can feel in your soul. These tiny details are what I consider to be maps telling you everything and nothing all at the same time. They let your imagination take hold and are able to build an entire lifetime in a single photo.
This is what drives Sonder Lily. My only job is to capture the true self of those in front of the lens. It's up to the viewer to let their imagination take over that story.

A GALLERY OF LIFE'S LITTLE TREASURES
I'm a lucky woman to have two places I consider home; one in the mountains of Boulder and the other, on the coastline of New Zealand. My parents will tell you that ever since I was young, I've been interested in people. I've been fortunate enough to travel all over the world during which I would watch and ask questions. I would hear stories and found a natural curiosity about strangers' worries, loves, hopes and dreams. I realized soon after... there's an actual word for that.
SONDER.
The photographs I've collected in my life are a wonderful mix of travel, events, lifestyle, portraits and candids; all capturing the true essence of the people I've encountered and places I've been. Take a look, get lost in their stories and see just how powerful a single image truly is.
